Bondy century as fifths get first win!

Mens fifths against a Raphoe thirds selection. A glorious 3-1 win…. Our first win this season! The game got off to a bumpy start when Richard Kennedy got hit in the chest, blocking a Raphoe shot . A penalty flick was awarded and Raphoe managed to slot one past Roger Graham to go 1-0 up!

The North Down men had to knuckle down and soon after were awarded a short corner which was calmy converted by Peter Shields. In the second half, history repeated itself and Sheildsy scored from another short corner to make it 2-1 to North Down.

The final quarter saw a third goal from open play. The 5s newest member Action Jackson Laing played a stunning pass to Peter Bond waiting near the back post…. Pete never misses from here! This also happened to be Pete’s 100th goal for North Down. An amazing achievement, well done from us all.
