The under 13s travelled to Banbridge on Sunday to play in their 1st tournament since the Christmas break.
The boys won their 1st game 1-0 against a strong Antrim A team with Andy Linter converting the only goal of the game with a well taken shot into the bottom left hand corner of the goal.
The next two games against Banbridge B’s and Antrim B’s both ended in 1-0 defeats. However if chances had been taken in both games North Down could quite easily have had 2 more victories!
The final match of the day was against a strong Banbridge A side. North Down did not shy away from the task in hand and produced their best performance of the tournament and were unlucky to only draw 1-1.
Overall the tournament was a success and the coaches would like to thank the Parents and Guardians for their continued support and also thanks to Gail Linter for umpiring.
