Luckily for the North Down side, Hilary West was on hand to ensure the rebound found the back of the net. The first half ended with North Down 2-0 up.
The second half saw Service come out with more fight and pushing to get into the game. Their attacks were well picked up by the North Down defence and midfield who worked hard to clear the ball providing some quick counter attacking play. Great passing between the North Down side saw the girls rewarded with a penalty corner. Kathy Taylor made no mistake and buried the ball to give the home side a three goal cushion. The half continued with the home side continuing to assert pressure on the visiting Service team. The Service girls had their chances however these were well dealt with by the North Down team who worked hard to track back and pick up their players and any stray balls.
