North Down Ladies Welcome Darren Cassells as New 1st XI Coach

North Down Ladies Hockey Club are delighted to welcome Darren Cassells as their new 1st XI coach. 

Darren has been involved in coaching with Lurgan and more recently Harlequins; helping players develop their skills, confidence and love for the game. For the past two years, he has also enjoyed coaching the Ulster Masters Over-45s team.

Darren is really committed to his coaching:
“Whether it’s coaching experienced players or those just starting out, I’m passionate about giving back to the sport and helping players get the best out of themselves.

For me, hockey is more than just a game – it’s a community, a passion, and something I’m proud to be involved in every day.”

Darren joins Aaron Mills and Kathy Taylor to make up this year’s 1st XI coaching and management team. 

We are very excited for the season ahead.
