From Club Member to Club Builder: Paul Adgey Appointed North Down Hockey Club Development Officer

North Down Hockey Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Adgey as the club’s new Club Development Officer.

A long-standing and highly respected member of North Down Hockey Club, Paul has played an important role within the club community for many years. His passion for hockey, deep understanding of the club, and commitment to its continued success make him ideally placed to support and drive North Down’s future development both on and off the pitch.

In his new role, Paul will lead a range of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening and growing the club in the short, medium, and long term. His key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing initiatives to increase membership across all age groups.
  • Strengthening player pathways from youth hockey through to senior teams.
  • Supporting the recruitment, development, and retention of players, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
  • Promoting an inclusive, welcoming, and positive environment for all members.
  • Assisting the Committee in delivering the club’s strategic vision and long-term development goals.

Paul’s appointment reflects North Down Hockey Club’s ongoing commitment to investing in its future and ensuring the club continues to thrive as one of the leading hockey clubs in Ulster.
