Latest profile is Rachael Murphy. Thanks to all who have responded and are no doubt desperately waiting their 15 minutes of fame – your time will come!! You may have noticed that I blank out the response to the question about the club least liked to play against. This is to give everyone a chance to speculate who it may be but also to avoid future possible retribution when hockey resumes!!
So, here we go with Rachael ………..
When and where did you first play hockey?
I first played hockey at primary school, Kells and Connor, in P6.
Have you played for any other hockey clubs?
I played for Stirling University for 5 years, Bon Accord MBC in Aberdeen, Ballymena and Ballyclare before coming to North Down.
How long have you been at North Down?
This is my second year year at North Down.
What has been your best moment at North Down?
Definitely has to be the Dinner Dance last year!
Who has been your favourite player to play with at North Down and why?
If I didn’t have to pick one I’d say all of them, however, she knows it’s her – Olivia Brown, of course.
What is your least favourite team to play against?
********* – can anyone guess??
Who in your North Down team would you want, and who not, on your quiz team?
Anyone has got to be better than me – I would take myself out of the team!
Do you follow a particular football team?
Nope
What other sports are you interested in and do you play any other sports?
I used to play badminton and sprints in athletics – haven’t done these since going to uni.
What is your favourite personal sporting moment and a favourite all time sporting one?
My favourite personal sporting moment was playing for Stirling Uni and being promoted into National 2 after 5 years.
What is the best holiday you have ever had?
No particular favourite as they’ve all been in the sun!
Where is your ideal holiday location?
Hawaii or Australia – either with all that sun and beach time!
What type of music do you like?
I like anything that sounds good but mostly country music.
What is your favourite TV programme?
Grey’s Anatomy! However, I do love One Tree Hill
What is your favourite movie?
I don’t think I should be admitting this but it has to be Titanic.
What is your favourite food and drink?
Drink is coke or Irn Bru. Food is roast beef – can’t beat it!
If you could invite four people, living or dead, to a dinner party who would they be?
I have to say my four people would be my mum, dad and 2 brothers. You haven’t sat for such an interesting meal as with my fam bam. The craic is mighty.
What have you been doing to stay fit during the coronavirus break?
