Death of Ramon Davey
We have learnt this evening the sad news of the sudden death earlier today of Ramon Davey. Ramon played for North Down as a mainly 2nd XI goalkeeper in the late 80s and early 90s before retiring from playing and becoming involved in what is now the Ulster Hockey Umpires’ Association where he held several posts over a number of years. Ramon was always well to the fore when social events at the Club were being held and, although he hadn’t been down at The Green in recent years, he will be missed by all who remember him and his dry sense of humour. We send our deepest sympathies to all in the family circle.
Ramon’s funeral will be at Roselawn Cemetry on Monday 5th at 2.30 pm.
