Vital points for ladies fourths
On Saturday North Down ladies fourths met Ballymoney thirds at Comber determined to improve their position in the league. Captain Maxine Taylor ensured everyone was well focused and determined with her pre-match team talk.
Total one hundred per cent effort from all of the North Down players resulted in any fifty/fifty balls being theirs. The midfield of Fisher, Burrows and Jackson constantly tackled back and delivered some excellent passes to the waiting forwards who took their chances with three excellent goals – two from Lynsey Stevenson and one from Hilary West. Ballymoney were able to get one goal back, but perfectly timed tackles from the defence and Linda Marshall in goals denied Ballymoney any more.
This was an excellent performance from everyone and hopefully North Down can repeat this against Randalstown thirds away next Saturday to secure their league position.
