Early goal decides play off for Service

A fifth minute goal following a defensive error means that North Down will play their hockey in Senior One again next season.

Despite having the majority of the play, having a nailed on stroke disallowed and failing to take advantage of any number of short corners, North Down just couldn’t find their way past an in form Service keeper whom the Stormont team must thank for keeping them in the top division.
