Seconds lose heavily again
North Down ladies seconds welcomed the strong Belfast Harlequins seconds to Comber Leisure Centre last Saturday. With the usual half term hassle of school hockey tours and ventures away a much changed team took to the pitch.
Harlequins pressured the home side straight from the start. Helena Press in goals was making her second eleven debut and making her voice heard keeping the defenders on their toes with some great saves throughout the match. Unfortunately with many players having played the match before it made it all too easy for Harlequins to pass around the Comber girls and rattle in goals with ease. Even with a big score against the home side they didn’t give up and Natalie Strain put a goal in the last 10 minutes to make the score of a 9-1 defeat that wee bit easier to take.
