Boxing Day Charity Game

The annual charity game between the hockey and cricket clubs  on Boxing Day at Comber Leisure Centre finished in an honourable 3-3 draw.  At half time the cricket club in cold and rainy conditions were 2-1 ahead but two early second half strikes put the hockey club 3-2 ahead only for Amy Benson to equalise late on with the goal of the game.

At the last count £210 was raised for this year’s joint charity, the Marie Curie Cancer Fund.

Well done to all involved including those spectators who braved the elements.
