Lights fail in Mossley game

North Down entertained Mossley on Saturday in a Premier League game at Comber Leisure Centre.

Both teams opened brightly and both circles were under early pressure.  A Mossley attack down the right was not cleared by the home defence and Mossley scrambled the ball past the helpless Alastair McArthur who was making his return in goal after an absence of 5 years

After 7 minutes the lights failed and despite the efforts of the leisure centre staff they did not come back fully on leaving the umpires no option but to abandon the game.

The fixture will be rearranged at a later date.
