Club re-accredited with Clubmark Award
North Down Hockey Club has been re-accredited with the prestigious Clubmark NI award. Awarded by Sport Northern Ireland, in conjunction with Ulster Hockey, this quality standard award recognises high quality junior sports clubs and the contribution they make to the development of sport in Northern Ireland.
In order to gain Clubmark NI accreditation, clubs are required to meet a range of criteria including effective management, quality coaching, competition and safety.
This means that parents and guardians can be confident that their child is attending a quality club that provides positive and progressive sports opportunities in safe environments.
Chris Revill, North Down Chairman, and ladies 1st XI Vice Captain Lauren Brown were delighted to receive the Club’s certificate from Ulster Hockey Vice President Chris Harte who commented, “North Down Hockey Club plays an essential and significant role in the development of sport in Comber, providing outlets for participation while also maintaining quality environments for young players to develop. The competitive opportunities offered by club are also another key opportunity for participation and development.”
