Ashleigh hat trick as fifths run continues
On Saturday North Down ladies fifths entertained Civil Service fourths at Regent House with a squad of 13 players. Within the first 15 minutes this was down to 11 due to injuries to Anna Rogers and Kathy Taylor. The first half was one to forget, the only two highlights being a rare missed sitter from Julie Fisher and the opening goal from Lynsey Stevenson who scored with a super shot from the edge of the circle to make the score 1-0 at half time.
North Down finally got their act together in the second half and scored 5 goals with Ashleigh Hamilton scoring her second hat trick of the season, two other goals coming from Marion Sanderson and Lynsey Stevenson. With 8 minutes to go North Down finally relaxed and allowed Civil Service to score two good consolation goals to make the final score 6-2.
PMB Joint Players of the Match: Rachel Bogey and Georgie Greer.
