Premier League play off tonight
It’s the biggest game of the season tonight as North Down face Civil Service for a place in the Premier League next season. Push back is at 7.30 pm at Shaw’s Bridge, Belfast – access is at the turn in for the Ramada Hotel.
Service had a torrid start to their season with a series of heavy losses but steadied the ship as the season progressed as they reinforced their defence bringing some stalwarts back out of retirement. The two teams have mirrored league records of 15-1-2 in the season with Service suffering two double figure defeats and North Down with three double figure wins. Service’s two victories were narrow wins over Mossley and Raphoe and North Down’s two defeats were to Newry.
This will be coach Peter Whyte’s last game in charge as he takes a sabbatical from coaching and he and the team will be hoping that every Club member will be there tonight urging our team on.
