South Antrim fell by 3-2 in the first post Easter league game at Comber on Saturday. Leading 1-0 at the interval the Lisburn team, already crowned league winners, then fell behind to goals from Stephen Forrest and the evergreen Rich Willis before pulling level with 15 minutes to go. However, North Down were not to…
Antrim 4-10 North Down North Down travelled to the Antrim forum for a league fixture against Antrim on Saturday. For 45 minutes Antrim made life difficult for north down with their strong running and in fact held a 3-2 lead which was well deserved early in the second period. It took a tactical switch to…
Instonians 3rds 1-4 North Down 2nds. A bit late this week due to yesterday being spent in a medically induced coma after Saturday afternoon celebrations were extended to sunrise Sunday morning. Ouch! By now everyone knows the result, you’ve seen the pictures and you’ve probably been mentally scared by Steven McGimpsey‘s photo-bombing double-D moob (time to…

North Down 2nds 2 – 1 Dungannon 2nds. North Down ladies seconds entertained their Dungannon counterparts at Comber Leisure Centre last Saturday and made a strong start with some of their best hockey of the season. The mid field controlled by Ali Millar provided excellent service for the forwards to run onto but unfortunately they…
Banbridge 2nds 5 – 3 North Down 2nds Our new Mr. Miyagi. We’ll call him keeper X for now for bureaucratic reasons. Fantastic! The usual silent cold blooded efficiency from Andrew Boyd! Irwin bellowing like a wounded Mastodon at the back for the last time this season! The Milk Magnate making up for a first half…
