Priorians Strike Early to Claim 2–0 Win

North Down 3rd XI welcomed Priorians to Regent this week in their first meeting of the season, following a previous cancellation due to Storm Amy.

After a difficult result the previous week, North Down knew the importance of starting strongly. However, it was the visitors who made the early impact, scoring twice in quick succession to catch the home defence off guard.

Priorians controlled much of the tempo and created several scoring opportunities, but goalkeeper Kathryn McGregor produced an excellent performance to keep the scoreline at 2–0.

By the third quarter, North Down began to find their rhythm and applied sustained pressure, earning several penalty corners but unable to convert. The home side showed great determination in the final quarter, leaving everything on the pitch. Although the match ended in a 2–0 defeat, North Down can take plenty of positives into their next fixture.
