All games off this weekend!

Frozen pitches have again decimated our Saturday fixtures. The only game which remains ON at the moment is the ladies 5th XI Minor Plate match against Civil Service 4th XI at Stormont at 1.00 pm on the sand based pitch.

Julie Fisher and Andy Walls attended the @SportNINet Celebration of Coaching & Club Sport evening at the Titanic in Belfast last night to get re-presented with our Clubmark award.  Antrim and Civil Service also received their awards and Lisnagavery’s Erroll Lutton collected his Club Performance Coach of the Year Award.

The men’s first eleven game at Comber Leisure Centre against Raphoe on Saturday has been postponed due to the death of Richard Eaton from the Raphoe club.  Richard was a long time friend of North Down’s and we always looked forward to seeing him either in Comber or up at Raphoe.  We extend our sympathies…

Around 30 children have taken part every morning this week in North Down’s Hockey Summer Scheme at Comber Leisure Centre.  All worries about inclement weather last weekend were dispelled on Monday morning as the clouds cleared and haven’t been seen since.
