North Edge Harlequins 2–1 in Hard-Fought Away Victory

In a crucial away fixture against Belfast Harlequins, both teams went into the match knowing that three points were essential. North Down started strongly, setting the tempo early and putting pressure on the home side. Their early dominance was rewarded when Kate Cafferkey found the back of the net, continuing her impressive goal-scoring run this season.

After the break, Belfast Harlequins began to settle into their rhythm and managed to level the score shortly after half-time. Despite the momentum swinging towards the hosts, goalkeeper Nikki Ferris produced a series of outstanding saves to keep North Down in the game.

As the clock ticked down, North Down’s persistence paid off when they earned a well-deserved penalty corner. Laura Murray stepped up and delivered the decisive strike, securing a hard-fought 2–1 victory for the visitors. Massive thanks to Keith Conway for umpiring.
