New support for Youth Section announced!
PMB Accountants in Comber have stepped in to provide draw string bags and water bottles for all 200 of North Down’s burgeoning youth section members. In addition, the Comber firm have allocated resources to further assist with funding for the running of youth activities at North Down and see this as the start of an ongoing partnership.
Managing Director Peter Bond stated. “North Down Hockey club will always be very special to PMB Accountants therefore we are delighted to be able to sponsor and support the youth section, with the provision of draw string bags and water bottles for all of the youth players involved in the club. We feel it is not only important to give back to our local community, but by focusing our sponsorship on this section of the club we aim to assist with the retention of players, and help the club provide these talented young people with this additional sports equipment to keep them hydrated on the pitch and also maybe make life a bit easier for Mum and Dad when they are looking for all the kit! This is not only nice for the children involved but also frees up the club to use valuable funds for other projects or purchase additional equipment that they otherwise would not be able to. This is the first of our initiatives of which we hope will be an ongoing partnership, and we have allocated further funds in our annual budget to assist with other activities that the club may wish to do for the children.
As a former youth development officer at the club I am very proud to see the transformation in this section of the club over the years, and I hope that with these accessories we can really add to the look, and help the children stand out and look professional when they go along to one of their many blitz days! I also think that Julie Fisher and her team have done such an outstanding job with this section of the club and it is a testament to her that it is attracting corporate sponsorship, something that the club and the youth section especially can benefit from ”.
