Under 15 girls brave the conditions!

North Down’s Under 15 girls lost 2-1 to their Bangor counterparts at Regent HS yesterday.  The weather may have been bleak but the hockey was really interesting with end to end action.

North Down started by showing Bangor far too much respect and let them run at them. Bangor began the scoring which seemed to waken North Down up. Later in the first half North Down came alive and began to counter attack with excellent play from Charlotte Walker, Erin McConnell and Faye Laing. Tara Dickson scored a cracking penalty corner following a pass from Charlotte Walker. The half time score of 1-1 was fair.

In the second half Sarah Taylor, Molly Rice and Tara Dickson played solid hockey but a break by the Bangor team made the score 2-1. Grace Davis in goals was exceptional. Congratulations must also go to Zoe Pritchard who played out of position and excelled.
