Ladies seconds first game in 8 weeks!

On Saturday, the ladies seconds travelled to take on Dromore seconds away at Ferris Park. With the league being very tight and the North Down girls not having played since 18 November this match was going to be a tough ask for the visitors.

The first half saw play switch between teams with neither able to find the back of the net. The second half saw the Dromore girls come out with more determination and the Comber girls spent most of the half absorbing pressure from the home side. However, both teams had their chances and had the ball cleared off the line when a goal looked certain. It was Dromore who found themselves on the scoreboard when they quickly broke down the field from North Down’s attacking 25 and found the back of the net. The North Down girls pushed to get an equaliser but they were unable to on this occasion and the match was settled by the only goal.
