Boxing Day Charity game

The annual Charity game between the cricket and hockey clubs took place on Boxing Day resulting in a narrow 2-1 win for the hockey club.  However, in controversial circumstances, the result has been overturned as not only did the cricket club have a perfectly good goal disallowed, further examination of the match squads has revealed that the hockey club had an illegal number of players in their squad.

Despite this, it was good to see lots of our non resident members back for the holidays and most importantly the sum of £383 was raised for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Charity.  Thanks to all who supported the event, players, spectators et al and to Peter Shields for running the ballot afterwards.
