Strong win for ladies thirds

North Down ladies thirds played Ballyclare 2nds at home on Saturday.  After a week off, North Down had a strong start pressuring Ballyclare in the circle, resulting in an early goal from Laura Lyttle.  Ballyclare fought back and scored half way through the first half making it 1-1. North Down brought it back and won a short corner which Anna Smith scored, making it 2-1 at half time. North Down were strong in the second half and played with a lot of possession. Sacha Bell provided a lovely pass to Judith Orr who slotted it past the keeper for the thirds to go 3-1 up.  North Down kept pushing on also with some good defence from Rachael Gibson, Rebecca Nield and Lauren McCormick.  Close to the end of the match North Down finished the match well with a goal from Sacha Bell to make the final score 4-1 to North Down.
