The ladies seconds, already confirmed as league winners, made the journey to play Omagh seconds last Saturday at Campsie.
They started slowly getting the effects of the travel from their legs and Omagh had all the early pressure. North Down found it hard to get into the game but went into an early lead when Jenna Hoey won a short which was converted by Keri Portinga. This gave the visitors a much needed confidence boost and after great play in the circle Julie Fisher netted to get North Down 2-0 up. Just before half time, Sophie Clements scored the third after a great pass into the circle.
After an encouraging team talk North Down picked up their pace during the second half. Amy Jones scored the fourth goal within 5 minutes of the restart but play became very scrappy thereafter and, with minutes remaining, Amy Jones finally netted again with her second goal to settle a decisive 5-0 win for the visitors.
