Comfortable win for ladies seconds in Dromore

Ladies seconds travelled to dromore for another 1pm start.

Going into the game with confidence of last weeks win north down began well with plently of attacking play. With an early break from dromore and a controversial plently corner North Down with strong defending in the north down circle were back on the attacking foot.

A free given to north down outside the circle, taken quickly by Laura Campbell and a quick strike at the top of the D with a slight deflection north down were one nil up.

Now settling into the game we were continuing to attack. With JR feeding the ball into the circle and Brittany being on the far post was able to pick it up and pull it round the keeper.

With more attacking down the right hand side, Claire slapped the ball in. With great positioning and stick control from Ali Millar again on the far post North down were three nil up coming into half time.

After having a well deserved break North Down’s play picked up even more. With north down playing the balls into the circle espically from the centre mid kathy. With the forwards in on the keeper and a rebound naomi was able to get it in the back of the net.

Keeping the play in Dromore’s circle North Down wanting another goal and with another rebound of the keeper and JR on the post, again found the back of the net.

In the last few minutes of the match North Down got a plently corner. A straight strike from Jenna Hoey unfortunately rebounding of the keeper, to Ali’s delight landed right on the end of her stick crashes it into the back of the net for North Down to finish 6nil.
