Sun shines on Summer Scheme

Around 30 children have taken part every morning this week in North Down’s Hockey Summer Scheme at Comber Leisure Centre.  All worries about inclement weather last weekend were dispelled on Monday morning as the clouds cleared and haven’t been seen since.

Coaches for this week’s session are Laura Campbell, Stevie Dalzell and Andrew McKibbin.  Now with the luxury of two brand new sets of junior goalkeeping kit, one courtesy of the Clubmark Award, Andrew has been trying his hand at keeper coaching and there has been no shortage of volunteers as can be seen from the photos.

The second week of sessions runs from 18-22 August and many of the children will be returning for more.  The registration form is still available here on the website under ‘DOWNLOADS’ if you know of anyone interested in joining.  Numbers for week two are already up on this week so don’t wait too long.
