The mens thirds lost 4-0 to a technically superior Kilkeel second eleven at Stormont on Saturday in a game largely dominated by the south Down team. Keep the time and date free. The mens thirds will play Kilkeel seconds in the Junior Two League Cup Final at 1.00 pm on 31 December at Stormont. This will be their third meeting of the season with Kilkeel winning the group match 2-0 in September and then in the last set of league games…
All games are OFF again! On the plus side, there’s a Christmas jumper day at The Green on Saturday afternoon from 3.00 pm on!!

Congratulations to our first, ie not First, prizewinner in our World Cup sweep as the owner of the first team eliminated and therefore officially the worst team in the tournament. The wooden spoon goes to Judith Orr with Qatar.
The draw for the World Cup Sweep was made live on Facebook on Wednesday evening by Sepp Gilmore and his committee with some dubious selections being drawn. It’s £150 to the winner and £70 to the runner up and with a possible booby prize for the first team eliminated. The high tech draw is below….
Having been stranded on 99 career goals at North Down since January, Peter Bond yesterday finally became the 25th North Down player to reach this landmark milestone with a trademark far post tap in in the fifths 3-1 win over a Raphoe 3rds selection. Well done Peter in finally making it!! We await further developments…
The mens fifth eleven game with Raphoe thirds has had to be moved to Londonderry Park today, the time is unchanged at 2.30 pm.
