JR for Masters Home Nations in June
Congratulations to Julie Fisher who has been selected for the Ireland O45s team for the home nations tournament in Dublin in June.
It’s the first round of the Irish Trophy this Saturday and it sees the ladies travel to The Maws, home of North Kildare, and the men host Newry who will hope to overcome their disappointment at having last week’s Premier League fixture postponed due to their several last minute Covid diagnoses. There’s a home game…
Despite a light covering of snow, the pitch at Comber LC is otherwise fine and both scheduled matches today go ahead. Mens 1st XI V Cliftonville at 2.30 pm and mens 5th XI V PSNI at 4.00 pm.
Queens 2 – 0 v North Down at the Dub. Full report to follow.
After Saturdays frost, the pitch at Comber Leisure Centre has been inspected and is OK for today’s youth coaching.
Congratulations to our first, ie not First, prizewinner in our World Cup sweep as the owner of the first team eliminated and therefore officially the worst team in the tournament. The wooden spoon goes to Judith Orr with Qatar.
The first eleven men’s Kirk Cup game away to Cookstown on Saturday and the second eleven’s first Junior One league game at home to Banbridge seconds on Friday night have both been postponed by Ulster Hockey. Just the three games for men’s teams on Saturday, nothing new there then!
