Excellent win for ladies seconds
North Down ladies 2nd XI played Dromore 2nds at home on Saturday. After a week off, North Down had a strong start pressuring Dromore in the circle, resulting in an early goal from Heather Brittain. Dromore fought back and scored half way through the first half making it 1-1. North Down brought it back and won a short corner which Ashleigh Hamilton scored. A lapse in concentration saw the opposition make a break and scoring their 2nd goal. With half time approaching North Down were awarded another short corner and Heather Brittain rattled the backboard, making it 3-2 at half time.
North Down were strong in the second half and played with a lot of possession. Strong play up the right flank resulted in a smashing ball into the circle, with a wonder touch, Brittany Hogan guided the ball into the back of the net. The match finished 4-2 to North Down.
A much needed and well earned 3 points.
