Rearguard action for ladies fourths at Queens

North Down ladies fours travelled to The Dub last Saturday to play Queens 3rds who have taken control of Junior Five this season. In the first half the North Down defence of Karen Jackson, Maxine Taylor, Anna Rogers and Ann McBride started off strongly breaking down the Queens attacks with some excellent saves from returning keeper Nikki Ferris.  The North Down midfield with Julie Fisher and Anna Smith to the fore excelled with some fine passing and attacking but it remained scoreless at half time.

Queens upped their game in the second half and came back stronger and faster eventually scoring the two goals which settled the game.  The fourths kept their spirits high and defended strongly with Beverley Brittain and Catherine Douglas both featuring well.
