More Positives for Girls Under 11’s

The Under 11 girls played their first tournament of the year last Sunday (27.01.13) at Comber Leisure Centre. With a mix of teams from Grosvenor, Ards, Saintfield and Civil Service they had 5 games in all. They won their first match against one of the Grosvenor teams and the remaining matches were a mix of draws and narrow defeats.

The girls all played with such enthusiasm, determination and great team spirit. As there was a squad of players taken, all girls were rotated and also showed great willingness to play in different positions. The games were all back to back with only a few minutes break in between to change pitches but as it was a very cold day this kept them all from cooling down!

All in all – great performances from the girls who have improved so much from the beginning of the season, both individually and as team players on the pitch.
