Tough trip to Armagh for ladies fifths!

North Down fifths had a very challenging game on Saturday when they made the trip to play the current league leaders Armagh thirds but hopeful that they could go one better following their 1-1 draw earlier in the season.

In the first quarter Armagh were awarded a short corner which they clinically finished to go 1-0 up.

In quarter two the home side upped their game by adding to the score line with two quick goals to go into a 3-0 lead at half time.

After the brea,k North Down settled into the game more comfortably with young players becoming more confident in their new positions and mixing in well with the more experienced North Down players. The fifths grew much stronger in their play giving the Armagh side such hassle throughout the second half and were very unlucky not to score in some nail biting moments.

The final score was 3-0 to Armagh but there were lots of positives with promising displays all round.
