The North Down Hockey Club Committee is dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive hockey community, overseeing the development of players at all levels and ensuring a commitment to excellence in both competition and sportsmanship.

President

Robin Mitchell

Robin was elected President at the 128th AGM held on Tuesday 14th May 2024. The President is a Club Officer but not a Committee member unless elected.

Chairman

Sam Pyper

Sam sets the strategic direction of our Club, ensuring we meet our goals and adhere to our mission. He also oversees all Club operations.

Honorary Secretary

Richard Burns

Richard plays a vital administrative role, responsible for a variety of tasks essential for the smooth running of Club operations.


Ladies Honorary Secretary

Kaitlin Stewart

Caitlin plays a crucial administrative role, managing a wide range of tasks that are essential to the smooth operation of the Club.


Honorary Treasurer

Kathryn Rogers

Kathryn manages the day-to-day finances of the Club, paying invoices promptly and reporting on the financial position of the Club at each Committee meeting. She also manages the annual subscription notifications and payments.

Club Development Officer

Rob Leigh

Rob is working on our Club Development Plan with the view to continuing our Club Mark awards and further development of all sections of the Club in line with our mission.


Fundraising Officer

Cara McConnell

Cara is in her second year as fundraising officer and has brought energy and enthusiasm to the role creating a wide variety of events for both social and fundraising objectives.


Communications & Social Media Officer

Anna Rogers

Grants Officer

Claire Smyth

Claire has responsibility for submitting grant applications for funding to boost our Club’s finances.

Ladies Club Captain

Maxine Taylor

Maxine holds a significant role in the Club, supporting team dynamics and overall club development on the ladies side of the Club, serving as the main point of contact between coaching staff and players.


Men’s Members Officer (Club Captain)

Stephen Magee

Stephen holds the same role on the men’s side of the Club – supporting team dynamics and overall club development to ensure players perform their best and everyone is informed of Club events.


Men’s 1st XI Representative

Josh Gilmore

Josh serves as a main point of contact between the Men’s 1st XI players, the coaching team and the Committee.


Ladies’ 1st XI Representative

Rachael Murphy

Rachel serves as a main point of contact between the Ladies’ 1st XI players, the coaching team and the Committee.

Andrea is the main point of contact between the Club’s coaching teams and the committee on the ladies side of the club.
