{"id":424,"date":"2013-02-13T11:16:43","date_gmt":"2013-02-13T11:16:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northdownhc.co.uk\/?p=424"},"modified":"2013-02-13T11:16:43","modified_gmt":"2013-02-13T11:16:43","slug":"twelve-in-a-row-for-mens-2nd-xi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northdownhc.com\/index.php\/2013\/02\/13\/twelve-in-a-row-for-mens-2nd-xi\/","title":{"rendered":"Twelve In A Row for Mens 2nd XI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday brought another impressive victory for the seconds over a skilful Banbridge 3rds.<\/p>\n<p>The seconds have now won twelve consecutive league games and lead Junior 2 by 5 points with 5 games remaining.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturdaythe seconds welcomed back Magee and McMillan from injury,Forrest from work commitments and Ritchie on a weekend break from University.<\/p>\n<p>The seconds began the game in their usual high tempo passing style with an emphasis on attacking hockey. After 20 minutes the seconds lead 6 nil with goals from Shields,Nichols,and 2 each from Forrest and Dalzell. This was a brilliant period of hockey with excellent support play and clinical finishing. Banbridge responded with goals froma penalty stroke and from open play,both as a result of poor defending.Leading 6-2 North Down responded with goals from Mockford and Nichols to leave the score 8-2 at half time.<\/p>\n<p>The second half followed a similar pattern with further goals from Dalzell and Forrest to complete well deserved hat tricks and from Shields and McKee. Banbridge never gave up and scored a consolation goal to leave the final score at 12-3.<\/p>\n<p>Another excellent performance from the entire squad.
