We are delighted to announce the appointment of Gareth McKeown (Mackers) as our new Men\u2019s 1st XI Head Coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A familiar face to many, Gareth has been a dedicated member of North Down HC for 20 years, bringing with him a wealth of experience both on and off the pitch. He previously served as our Director of Hockey from 2017 to 2020, where he played a key role in shaping the club’s development and direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gareth\u2019s playing career has taken him across the globe from Teddington <\/a>HC in London, to Servette HC in Switzerland, and JLHC in Australia. He has also proudly represented Ireland Masters, showcasing his skill and passion at an elite level. Between 2010 and 2012, Gareth coached the Swiss women\u2019s national team to European Championship titles in both indoor and outdoor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are thrilled to welcome Gareth into this new leadership role and look forward to an exciting new chapter for our Men\u2019s 1XI under his guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n
