For almost two decades, the annual Boxing Day hockey match between the cricketers and North Down Hockey Club has been a cherished highlight of the festive season. It\u2019s an event that combines fierce (but friendly) rivalry, a fair amount of banter about fitness levels and a shared passion for giving back to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year was no exception, with NDHC taking home the bragging rights after a commanding 5-1 victory. Goals from Sam Pyper X2, Harry Templeton, Gareth Bailie and Ross Linter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, this beloved tradition has raised an impressive \u00a37,000\u2013\u00a38,000 for charity. In recent years, all proceeds have been donated to Marie Curie in memory of Brian Davis – a great friend to both clubs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s match raised \u00a3350 for Marie Curie, a testament to the generosity and community spirit of all involved. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, cheered from the sidelines and contributed to this wonderful cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
