North Down Hockey Club is preparing to launch a new 4 session coaching programme for young people with learning disabilities and\/or learning difficulties<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We intend this to become a firm fixture during during every hockey season at NDHC!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our aim is to make hockey more attractive to and accessible for children who do not feel comfortable or able to join mainstream sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sessions will be delivered according to the young person’s ability and all participants will be able to develop their own skills at their own pace whilst enjoying group matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will be using a “buddy system” where everyone learns to respect each other, involve others and communicate how to win\/lose together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
