The mens first eleven travel to Cork on Friday for their Irish Trophy game against Ashton at Ashton School at 2.30 pm on Saturday. This will be the third cup meeting between the two teams. In November 1988 Ashton won 3-1 in the Irish Senior Cup at The Green with Paul Johnston scoring for North Down. More recently, in February 2017 North Down won 5-0 in an Irish Trophy quarter final at Comber LC with goals from David Shepherd (3), Mark Shannon and Phil Wilson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
