Thirds hard fought draw with Priorians

Last Saturday North Down thirds hosted Priorians seconds at Regent HS.

Both teams started strongly with North Down applying the pressure early on. Throughout the first half the home team had plenty of chances to get on the scoreboard. The visiting defence were quick to clear the ball but were put under pressure by Judith Orr, Kirsty McCrory and Kenzi Fisher blocking the hit outs. Priorians had the occasional break in play which was quickly cleared away by Ali Millar and Rebecca Murdock.

The second half saw North Down have a series of penalty corners but unfortunately couldn’t capitalise off them. Priorians stepped up their attacking game towards the end but the North Down defence and goalkeeper Ashleigh Gorman kept the team in line and ended the game with a 0-0 draw.
